Classic down parka…
The Downdrift Parka from Patagonia combines a traditional outer layer, with progressive inner values, first and foremost when it comes to the materials used. First things first, what can the parka do? The outer layer features a polyurethane coating, which makes it water and windproof. This protects you against the winter elements, as does the quality down filling inside the jacket, which boasts a fill rating of 600. To ensure that it remains permanently water-repellent, the outer layer also has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The down insulation keeps you nice and warm, whatever is happening outside. The hood can be removed – a practical feature – and can be adjusted to your requirements using the drawstring.
…made from recycled materials
Patagonia’s aspiration is to produce in a manner that is as environmentally friendly and resource-efficient as possible. As such, the Downdrift Parka is made from 100% recycled materials; from the polyamide and polyester of the outer and inner sections, the insulating filling, which is made from recycled duck and goose down. The polyamide is made from recycled nylon fishing nets. So on the one hand, precious natural materials are repurposed, and on the other hand, a contribution is made to reducing the plastic contamination of the oceans.
